Seminar With Muay Thai Coach, Andre Zeitoun

On Friday 17th September 2010, the Ying Yang Kickboxing Club conducted a seminar with renowned French coach Andre Zeitoun, one of Europe’s top Muay Thai instructors.  Over the years Andre has trained several famous international champions such Jerome LeBanner, Jean Charles Skarbowsky, Yves Bizeul and many more.

Andre, who is half Maltese, visited many Martial Arts clubs while on holiday in Malta and our club had the privilege to be the first club he attended.  All Ying Yang athletes were enthusiastic to have a training session with a coach of such calibre and Zeitoun’s vast experience in Muay Thai served to introduce advanced concepts and visions in combat sport. 

 

Throughout the session Andre educated the Ying Yang athletes’ mentality by emphasizing the importance of giving “life” to each punch and kick while introducing refined ways to improve the speed and power of each strike.  Without a doubt Andre’s visit to the club had a major impact that advanced the knowledge on Kickboxing in our club and enriched this sport by exposing it to different disciplines.
